Brookstone Pocket Projector iPhone Case

Brookstone stirred up the pico industry last week by take pre-orders for this pico projector.  They began shipping this week and like me and many other iphone enthusiasts, we are quite excited about this product.

This pocket projector includes a 2100mAh battery and a 0.5 watt speaker.  They claim that you can get a 50 inch image but this would be tough unless you are in a pitch black room.  At 12 lumens you will be able to get a good 20-30 inches in a dim lit room but anything beyond that would be difficult.

I’m very happy this product came out, and though I wish it was a little brighter, this is one good step forward for the pico projector industry.

Acer’s C110 USB pico projector

This projector is Acer’s latest pico projector available in North America.  The Acer c110 uses DLP technology and requires USB to get power.  It offers up a WVGA (854 x 480) native resolution and the LED bulb is said to last up to 20,000 hours.  Quick boot up times are great on pico projectors and this device is no different; it can go from off to on in under 10 seconds.

FAVI A3-WiFi LED Pico Pocket Projector

Pico projector
The FAVI-A3-WiFi is the latest led pico projector that runs off an Android OS.  They have not stated what version of Android they are running, nor have they mentioned how many lumens this pocket projector is packing.  It has a 2 gb internal memory, a microSD slow, and a built in media player that supports some images, videos and office documents.  The main thing that sets this pico projector from the others is it has a web browser(explorer) built in. It’s currently available for pre-order even though they do not have all the specs listed.

Pros:

Has wifi and web browser

Android powered

Cons:

Has not released its lumens (usually means under 30)

Only 800×600 resolution

3M’s cp45 projector camcorder is now available

This fun product give you the ability to record videos, take pictures and projector them.  Specifically, it has the ability to record 720 videos, 5mp pictures, has an LED flash, and 2 GB of memory.  It also comes with a 2.4″ LCD and most importantly, a SVGA (800×600) resolution 20 lumen projector.  Overall we think this is a nice product for those of you who want to have everything in one small package.  It is lacking the high end features you would get if you bought each of its main functions as individual products, but for some this is the perfect bundle.

Pros:

The ability of many different products in one.

Decent picture quality

Cons:

Projector is not bright enough.

Cost is a bit high.
