Our review:
The Good:

  • design: We found it pretty useful to use the tilt when watching movies in bed. Though the idea is a little gimmicky it turns out to be useful.
  • Portablilty: while not as small as other pico projectors it was still very portable.
  • battery life: we got about 2.25 hours out of it…  which was perfect for watching the average movie… it would have been a bummer to have to recharge it mid movie!

The Not so Good:

  • The user interface: Found it to be a bit clunky…
  • brightness: @ 8 lumens you basically have to be in almost total darkness to make use of it.
  • Value: While not to expensive the price was pretty offset but the lack of connectivity… and the $40.00 VGA adapter did not help…

The M1’s advanced light engine eliminates rainbow issues by removing the color wheel and is optically enhanced to provide improved color quality, sharpness, and uniformity over other projectors in its class.

Our review:
The Good:

  • Performance: Aaxa’s M1 Ultimate X boasts a powerful 75 Lumens.  To me this is one of it’s best features, mostly because there is finally a micro projector that is extremely usable with out making sacrifices due to the size!
  • Image Quality: We were rather impressed with how sharp and vibrant the images were.
  • Onboard media player: supports popular file formats and lets you share movies, videos, photos with friends and family. as well as the onboard speaker for multimedia playback.
  • Portablilty: I was quite impressed with the size of this little guy… (about the same size of 2 iphones stacked on top of each other…
  • design: Aaxa’s M1 Ultimate X is housed in a sleek brushed aluminum case  with a backlit tough sensitive keyboard on top for you to navigate the menu with.  It was built to last –a very durable product.
  • Value: $250…. At that price, this is a SUPER value.

The Not so Good:

  • The user interface: Unfortunately… i have yet to find a projector that has a perfect one.
  • Fan: was a little loud at times.

Our review:
The Good:

  • Performance: Both the resolution and brightness are increadable for the size of this little  micro projector. The Full hdmi make it so compatable…
  • Long Life: Unlike conventional Lamp-based projectors, the M2 LED lamp never needs to be replaced. (15,000 hours)
  • Onboard media player: We found that the built-in media player had no problem handling common media formats such as AVI and MP4 video, and WAV and MP3 audio. The M2, a USB drive, and a white wall are everything required to have an instant “media party.”
  • Portablilty: I was quite impressed with the size of this little guy… it can fit in the palm of my hand.
  • Value: The performance to cost ratio is unrivaled.

The Not so Good:

  • Menu: not the worst but sot the best.
  • Fan: was a little loud for our liking, but they always are with projectors, and this one was not that loud at all!

Jakks eyeclops micro projector.

Micro Projector

I heard the buzz around this toy in the fall of last year… This terrible projector can hardly pass for toy… and i mean that with all sincerity… they amount of Photoshoping done to their advertising images is incredibly misleading…  the resolution on this little projector is just enough to project a 12 inch image… and you can still see the pixels.  to put into perspective standard definition, which is almost considered to be substandard is about 4x the screen resolution.  Lastly, it uses a plastic lens… which is borderline embarrassing… Other products on the market are incredibly better… for instance the AAXA m1-Ultimate-X for $249 it is 6x the screen resolution and over 7x brighter.  or even the aaxa P1Jr. which is only $109 and is over 4x smaller and more portable, and has over 2x the resolution!

Pros-

  • Fairly inexpensive now compared to original prices
  • Portable-uses AC or batteries for outdoor viewing

Cons-

  • Blurry images are almost impossible to read text by
  • Only viewable in total  and complete darkness
  • blurry plastic lens
  • only AVS inputs
  • deceiving marketing
  • creates complaining children.

  • The user interface: it was not horrible but it would be a little more firendly.
